Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including holiday rotations


Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in New York. This role requires delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing urgent and emergent care needs and collaborating effectively to manage life-threatening situations and routine emergencies.

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Deliver high-quality and compassionate care to patients and families.
• Assess patient needs and prioritize urgent or emergent care.
• Apply appropriate interventions and evaluate patient progress.
• Perform various invasive and non-invasive procedures as required.
• Connect with patients and families during triage, establishing rapport and providing updates.
• Conduct primary and secondary assessments and document findings accurately.
• Build trust and cooperation among team members for optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and discharge.
• Maintain awareness of the patient's condition throughout the ER visit.

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• NYS RN Licensure
• Minimum of two years experience in the Emergency Department
