Join a Growing Engineering Team Designing High-Profile Building Projects
We’re seeking a Mechanical, Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer to support innovative commercial, educational, hospitality, and multi-residential projects throughout Southern California. This is a great opportunity for a motivated designer looking to grow under the mentorship of experienced Professional Engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system drawings
• Assist with specifications, feasibility studies, and energy modeling
• Perform gas utility load calculations and heat load calculations
• Support building pressurization plans and HVAC controls development
• Coordinate BMS details and sequences of operation with design teams
• Assist during construction phases with RFIs, submittals, and site visits
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design packages
Qualifications:
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Bluebeam, EnergyPro, and MS Office
• Familiarity with California Building Codes and Title 24 requirements
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• HAP Carrier, Trane Trace 700, and Hydratec experience preferred
