Marketing copywriters at Gleim are responsible for writing engaging and clear copy across owned, earned, and paid channels that promote interest in our brand and our products. Marketing Writers produce compelling, transformative, persuasive content for different customer-facing mediums—including but not limited to- email, social media, digital, web, and print—and collaborate with designers to see their words brought to life. Responsibilities:

• Write engaging, on-brand, and error-lite copy—from long-form to short-form content to mediums and channels where every character counts

• Distill messaging into headlines, taglines, and subject lines that are engaging calls to action

• Understand Gleim's message, brand voice, and target audience

• Edit and retool the writing of others to suit different times, places, and purposes

• Turn creative direction and technical information into persuasive copy concepts

• Collaborate with team members and across departments to brainstorm and develop marketing materials

• Execute on approved projects and hit deadlines

• Research keywords and keep abreast of best practices

• Maintain and assist in the development of the team content calendar

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• An applicable 4-year degree (e.g., English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, public relations, or similar)

• Work efficiently to create relevant copy

• Strong attention to detail

• A willingness to learn and grow

• Excellent copywriting skills

• Must be able to work on-site in Gainesville, Florida

• Included a portfolio with examples of written work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with a content management system, preferably WordPress.

• Experience with content marketing and SEO best practices.

• Familiarity with SEO and SEM software.

• Familiarity with tools like Asana; valuable for managing tasks and projects efficiently.

• Familiarity with the accounting and/or aviation industries (not required, but preferred).

References required. Drug testing and background check will be conducted upon a job offer. Gleim is a drug and smoke free workplace.
