Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct independent Telecommunications engineering work requiring judgment in evaluation, selection, and application of engineering techniques and criteria.
  • Support the design, development, modification, and evaluation of ICT-Telecommunications components and processes.
  • Develop conceptual designs for Telecommunications engineering projects with specialized or unique requirements.
  • Interpret new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data.
  • Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.
  • Support preparation of cost estimates, staffing requirements, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approval of Telecommunications-related work.
  • Conduct or lead special studies on new telecommunications methods, materials, and technologies.
  • Participate in and provide input to technical training and educational programs as directed.

Skills:

  • ICT-Telecommunications system design and engineering
  • Network topology development and design
  • DAS, Data Center, and Horizontal Distribution systems
  • OSI Model understanding and application
  • Rack layout and infrastructure development
  • Engineering standards, procedures, and client design programs
  • Technical documentation and stakeholder communication
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound engineering judgment.
  • Strong understanding of technical and cost considerations in Telecommunications design.
  • RCDD certification.
  • Experience designing and evaluating ICT-Telecommunications systems.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or international equivalent).
  • 8–10 years of relevant Telecommunications engineering experience or 12–14 years of related work experience.
