We are looking to hire a Lead Security Officer which requires an experienced professional within Physical Security. The Lead Security Officer will be trained in all the HQ security duties as well as directing all Contract Security and Full Time Security personnel. The ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective field, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for operational effectiveness within a fast-paced environment.

You Will

  • The Lead Security Officer will be responsible for all Security Officers that work in the SOC and patrol positions. The position requires an individual who is professional in appearance, courteous, and helpful to all Lucid employees, contractors and guests. Is fluent in spoken and written English and is capable of writing Incident reports, Logs and Pass down information to oncoming shifts.
  • Oversee a shift which includes Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) Operators, Security Officers and third-party security personnel.
  • Review the Pass down Log and brief personnel on projects, events and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a high Profile, acting as a deterrent to theft.
  • Protect Lucid personnel and property by observing and reporting safety, hazardous or equipment problems.
  • Know and enforce all General Security Procedures.
  • Know, understand and complete all reports as appropriate.
  • Pass all pertinent information to your relief.
  • Respond to emergencies as directed by the GSOC Operator or GSOC Supervisor as required.
  • Ensure third party and internal security has sufficient coverage throughout the respective shift.
  • Investigate Incidents as directed and ensure proper escalation to Supervisor.
  • Conduct emergency escorts for outside assistance.
  • Conduct patrols of Lucid property.
  • Lead and drive development of security personnel skills sets.
  • Coordinate daily security operations tasks in alignment with site activity i.e., security audits, equipment inspections, etc.
  • Lead additional security coverage escort needs, such as, special details and other assignments requested by Security Leadership.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Other assignments will be required based on operational needs.
  • Understanding of security technology platforms, such as, Genetec, LifeRaft, Envoy, and mass communication tools.

You Bring

  • Minimum 4 years of leadership and physical security experience or a private security organization.
  • Strategic thinking with a firm understanding of the balance between business, security, and safety risks.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to think strategically and possess a broader view.
  • Remains flexible and responsive to changing conditions.
  • Ability to remain calm in a crisis and to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of the Automotive business is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (hourly)

$23—$32 USD

Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
