About this Role
Named a 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winner, it is an exciting time to join the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), Benefits Division, where you will contribute to a team dedicated to fostering a respectful, engaged, and forward-thinking workplace. As the Benefits Administrative and Policy Analyst within the Policy Oversight and Management (POM) section, you will play a key role in shaping statewide personnel practices by monitoring and tracking compliance, managing complex inquiries, and providing consultation and policy guidance. The POM section oversees several essential statewide programs, including the Third Party Pre-Tax Parking Reimbursement Account, State-Owned Housing, Commute Programs (Mass Transit, Vanpool Bicycle), Travel and Relocation. In this role, you will make a meaningful statewide impact.
Under the direction of the Manager I, the Analyst II is part of the Policy Oversight & Management (POM) Section, serving as the Policy & Administrative Operations Analyst. Performing with a high degree of responsibility and independence, on a variety of analytical and project tasks to include direct support to the Chief and Assistance Division Chief (ADC), effectively balancing the administrative and project workload to deliver premier services.
