Job Description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a team in a manufacturing cell. The role involves detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery following documented procedures. Tasks may include electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging. The role also involves cleaning tools and equipment according to documented procedures and disposing of hazardous waste materials in designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices and related components in a controlled cleanroom environment.
• Utilize microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering, adhesive bonding, and operate various equipment.
• Perform routine assignments according to specified and standardized procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
• Perform tests on units using computerized test equipment.
• Repair and correct devices/components using microscopes and applicable tools.
• Package devices ensuring all parts are accurate and documentation is complete.

Essential Skills

• Good dexterity to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to prioritize work by determining sequencing and timing of different jobs.
• Capability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• Experience with medical assembly and inspection processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

Full cleanroom environment requiring hair nets, gowns, booties, and regular hand washing before entering. Strict dress code includes no nail polish, long fake nails, makeup, fragrances, henna tattoos, or pants with holes. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT PAUL, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.
