Job Description

We are seeking a skilled industrial mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in welding, fabrication, and general mechanical systems, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipes and use a torch as needed; fabricate conveyor belts and other mechanical components
• Work with gearboxes, bearings, and other machinery components; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
• Use all hand tools, battery-powered tools, and heavy equipment, including manlifts, telehandlers, and skid loaders
• Perform routine maintenance such as greasing, oil changes, and general cleanup
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks
• Be willing to work weekends, long hours, and respond to short notice work requirements based on production demands
• Comfortable working at elevated heights when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in a mechanical role
• Strong knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication
• Experience with conveyor belts, gearboxes, and bearings
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Proficient in using various hand and power tools
• Experience operating manlifts, telehandlers, and skid loaders
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Valid driver’s license

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Havre de Grace, MD.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
