Job Description
As an HR Generalist, you will act as a critical operational partner, executing daily people operations across the employee lifecycle. You will bridge corporate policy with frontline execution, driving initiatives across employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and talent retention. You will directly support our diverse local workforce, optimizing HR processes to foster a highly engaged, compliant, and productive workplace culture.
salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for grievances and conflict resolution. Advise managers on disciplinary actions, PIPs, and fair workplace practices.
- Own end-to-end local onboarding. Coordinate background checks, lead new hire orientations, and handle HRIS data provisioning.
- Maintain strict alignment with federal, state, and local labor laws. Manage FMLA/short-term leave tracking and support routine internal audits.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data integrity. Track key metrics (turnover, time-to-hire) to propose operational workflow improvements.
- Collaborate with leadership to execute regional employee engagement, wellness initiatives, and culture-building events.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 2–4 years of progressive HR experience handling daily operations (multi-state or distributed workforce environment preferred).
- Proficiency with enterprise HRIS (Workday, UKG, Rippling, ADP) and data tools (MS Excel or Google Sheets for tracking/metrics).
- High emotional intelligence, active listening, and strong mediation skills for sensitive, confidential workforce issues.
- bilingual: Professional fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
- Certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
- Local Insight: HR experience in high-turnover South Florida sectors (healthcare, logistics, manufacturing).
