Job Description

The Creative Agency | Fort Collins, CO | In-Person

Compensation: $21-$30/hr DOE

Schedule: Part-Time/ Full-time

Location: In-person, Fort Collins, CO

The Creative Agency is a full-service marketing and media firm serving ambitious brands, businesses, and organizations that need strategy, creative, content, production, web, SEO, and digital marketing under one roof.

We are an integrated in-house agency team that builds brands, campaigns, websites, and marketing systems with strategy and execution moving together. We are looking for a web professional who can do more than “build a website.” We need someone who understands that a website is often the center of a client’s brand, sales process, customer experience, and digital presence.

The Role

The Creative Agency is hiring a Full Stack Website Developer responsible for the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of client websites.

This role is responsible for taking a website from initial concept through successful launch, including UX/UI design, responsive development, content implementation, technical configuration, quality assurance, performance testing, accessibility considerations, and post-launch support.

The right candidate is both creative and technical. You should be able to think through how a website looks, how it functions, how users move through it, how content is structured, and how the final product supports the client’s business goals.

This is not a narrow development role. It requires strong judgment, technical capability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to own a web project from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Own website projects from planning through design, development, QA, launch, and post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand client goals, brand standards, user needs, and technical requirements.
  • Support sitemap planning, user flow, wireframing, UX recommendations, and website architecture.
  • Design clean, modern, responsive website layouts using Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
  • Build and maintain websites in WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS platforms.
  • Configure pages, menus, forms, plugins, redirects, analytics, tracking pixels, SEO settings, and technical site components.
  • Customize themes, templates, and page builders as needed.
  • Troubleshoot front-end, back-end, hosting, plugin, integration, and performance issues.
  • Conduct full website QA before launch, including mobile, browser, link, form, functionality, accessibility, and content testing.
  • Manage technical launch tasks including DNS, hosting, SSL, redirects, backups, and migrations.
  • Monitor websites after launch to confirm performance, indexing, form delivery, tracking, and functionality.
  • Support ongoing updates, maintenance, speed improvements, SEO structure, accessibility, and conversion improvements.

Required Skills:

  • Experience designing and developing responsive websites.
  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress and common website builders or CMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, and website best practices.
  • Ability to take a website from concept through launch.
  • Experience with domain setup, hosting, DNS, SSL, redirects, and website deployment.
  • Comfort with HTML, CSS, and basic front-end troubleshooting.
  • Strong visual design judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to test websites thoroughly before launch.
  • Experience working with forms, plugins, integrations, analytics, and tracking tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with creative, strategy, content, and client-facing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple web projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high ownership mentality.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Shopify.
  • Experience with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and technical SEO basics.
  • Familiarity with WCAG/accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking.
  • Experience with website speed optimization.
  • Experience with e-commerce websites.
  • Experience working in an agency environment.
  • Basic understanding of copy hierarchy, landing page strategy, and conversion-focused design.
  • Experience with website migrations.
  • Experience building websites for service-based businesses, nonprofits, e-commerce brands, hospitality, arts organizations, or public-sector clients.

You are likely a strong fit if you:

  • Care about both design and functionality.
  • Notice when spacing, typography, mobile layouts, or page flow feel off.
  • Understand that websites need to support business goals, not just look pretty.
  • Can troubleshoot without spiraling.
  • Are comfortable owning the messy middle between design, development, content, testing, and launch.
  • Take pride in clean, polished, client-ready work.
  • Can communicate clearly when something is delayed, broken, unclear, or out of scope.
  • Prefer solving problems over making excuses.

At The Creative Agency, websites are not treated as isolated design projects. They are part of a larger brand and marketing ecosystem.

You will work alongside strategists, designers, copywriters, SEO specialists, social media managers, photographers, videographers, and client leads to create websites that are polished, purposeful, and built to support real business growth.

We are looking for someone who wants ownership, variety, and the opportunity to build excellent work inside a fast-moving agency environment.

Please email your our resume, portfolio, and examples of websites you have designed, developed, and launched to ***email_hidden***

In your application, please include a brief note explaining:

  • Your role in each website example.
  • Which platforms or tools you used.
  • Whether you handled design, development, QA, launch, or ongoing support.
  • Any experience you have with WordPress, Shopify, SEO, accessibility, or website migrations.
