We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and oversee our EHS programs and initiatives in Pueblo CO. The EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance while driving continuous improvement.

This position will be located onsite in Pueblo CO. Relocation assistance is available.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop implement and manage comprehensive EHS programs policies and procedures in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees contractors and visitors.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and other regulatory requirements applicable to the facility and operations.
  • Lead incident investigations facilitating root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations projects and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees and management teams to promote awareness and ensure compliance.
  • Track analyze and report EHS performance metrics identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee hazardous materials management waste disposal programs and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies external auditors and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
  • Stay informed of industry trends regulatory changes and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of EHS excellence.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA EPA and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience in incident investigation root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.


Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health Safety Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in EHS management in manufacturing aerospace or defense environment.
  • Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
  • Experience in EHS-related software and tools.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
  • Familiarity with sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Experience working in aerospace defense or related industries.

The salary range for this role is 132400 USD - 251600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
