Job Description

1. Embedded Firmware Development:
• Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for communication devices (Ethernet switches, PHY transceivers)
• Write efficient, high-quality code optimized for footprint and performance
• Integrate and test firmware and low-level code on embedded platforms
2. Technical Support & Collaboration:
• Provide technical support for FAE team, including driver porting and cus-
tomized SW development
• Work closely with India-based engineering teams; travel to India (~50% of time) for on-site collaboration, debugging, and customer support
• Deliver product demonstrations and technical workshops to customers
3. Testing & Quality:
• Develop and execute test plans for firmware validation
• Perform code reviews and static analysis to ensure code quality
• Support CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows (Git/Perforce)

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical En-
gineering, or related field
2. 3–5 years of embedded software/firmware development experience
3. Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming; Python experience is a plus
4. Hands-on experience with embedded processors (ARM Cortex-R/M or similar) and hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB)
5. Experience with firmware development for communication devices (Ethernet MAC/PHY, switches preferred)
6. Familiarity with RTOS (FreeRTOS, AUTOSAR OS, or similar) and bootloaders (U-Boot or similar)
7. Experience with GNU or similar compiler/debugging toolchains
8. Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to work effectively across cross-cultural, geographically distributed teams
9. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and in a team
10. Willingness to travel to India approximately 50% of the time
11. Indian candidates or candidates with India work experience are preferred

Nice to Have:
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of automotive standards/processes: MISRA, ASPICE, ISO 26262
• Knowledge of Ethernet Layer 2 protocols, TSN/gPTP/AVTP, TCP/IP, Security
