Job Description

Lone Star Paving is a paving contractor, operating in the Central Texas region with paving crews, HMA, aggregate, trucking, milling, and quality control. Our operations complete heavy highway and civil projects throughout Texas. Position Overview

The Contract Administrator will work with the Operations Team to ensure all contract documents are maintained with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and is familiar with construction management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between contractors, field, and project managers.
  • Organize and maintain project files and data bases, both electronic and hard copy.
  • Utilize online construction management software programs.
  • Manage all contract documents, including subcontracts, master service agreements, vendor agreements, field service agreements, purchase orders, etc.
  • Track bid deadlines & manage customer request.
  • Schedule handoff meetings at division manager discretion.
  • Handle tax exempt certificates.
  • Must be very detail oriented and able to manage time/priorities, and handle multiple concurrent activities successfully.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent training completed
  • Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Must be positive, friendly and professional.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
  • Must demonstrate professional communication in reaching out to employees and managers for needed documents.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as they arise.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize various tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
  • Able to perform duties independently.
  • Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
  • Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.

  • Mid Level Position

Working Conditions

  • Work will be performed in hybrid office/home setting- must be in Austin area.
  • May require some travel as our operations span throughout Texas.
  • Full time, hourly. May require availability for overtime hours.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Requires periodic participation and attendance at company events and meetings.
