Supports collaborative and innovative clinical research efforts.

This position is contingent on the availability and continuation of external-funding and/or contract. As such, any offer of employment may be withdrawn or employment ended in the event the external funding and/or contract ceases or is reduced.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Participates in preparation and management of research budgets and monetary disbursements.
2. Directs the requisition, collection, labeling, storage, or shipment of specimens.
3. Codes, evaluates, or interprets collected study data.
4. Records adverse event and side effect data and confers with investigators regarding the reporting of events to oversight agencies.
5. Communicates with laboratories or investigators regarding laboratory findings.
6. Collaborates with investigators to prepare presentations or reports of clinical study procedures, results, and conclusions.
7. Orders drugs or devices necessary for study completion.
8. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
2. Medicine - General knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative health-care measures.
3. Mathematics - General knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: Five (5) or more years of relevant research experience.
