Physical security, the first line of defense, protects an organization's tangible assets, facilities, and personnel. This involves measures like access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel to safeguard against physical threats, theft, or unauthorized access.

Position Summary
We are seeking professional, reliable  Armed Security Guards to join our growing team. In this role, you will safeguard client stores, protect personnel and property, and help maintain a safe, orderly environment. Responsibilities include supporting operations, controlling site access, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor entrances, exits, and gaming areas to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility (interior and exterior).
  • De-escalate conflicts, especially involving intoxicated or disruptive guests.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity.

Qualifications

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Maryland Armed Security Guard Certification .
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Maryland Handgun Permit .
  • Must possess or be able to obtain your own firearm .
  • Prior experience in armed security or law enforcement is preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with State Police guidelines.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, situational awareness, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand/walk for extended periods.

Uniform & Equipment

  • Ability to purchase a Class A Black uniform.
  • Duty belt and security vest are mandatory.
  • Radios or communication equipment may be issued.

Work Conditions

  • Shifts include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Both indoor and outdoor assignments.
  • Must be able to respond within 2-4 hours of notice for emergency staffing.
